As one final tribute to his memory, the family asked Nelsen Funeral Home to serve as a focal point for collecting candy to be distributed to Iraqi children. Nelsen Funeral Home collected nearly 500 lbs. of candy that was shipped overseas to his former unit. AQM graciously paid the cost for shipping the candy to Iraq.  Col. Thomas Felts of Sandston, Va., who was killed this past November while serving with an Military Transition team in Iraq. The Sandston, VA native enjoyed giving candy to the Iraqi children while he was stationed in IRAQ
